About Racheal
Racheal Thompson is a Lean Six Sigma certified strategy, systems, and operations consultant with nearly twenty years of experience leading and serving startups and nonprofits. In 2019, she created Operations School, a nonprofit business service organization with a mission to train, empower, and equip BIPOC startup and nonprofit leaders with the skills to successfully manage and scale their organizations through systems, automation, and delegation strategies.
As CEO of OPSIDIA, a management consulting firm that helps its clients operationalize their visions, Racheal leads a diverse team that empowers organizations to build capacity through program design and fractional operations support. She is also co-founder of Centric Place, a first-of-its-kind incubation space for Black arts, culture, entrepreneurship, and wellness in Metro Detroit.
Racheal recently served on the Internal Administration & Operations Transition Committee for Mayor-Elect Mary Sheffield, supporting the strategic and operational planning efforts for the incoming Detroit mayoral administration.
Allen previously served as the founding Chief Operating Officer for the Marygrove Conservancy, a 53-acre prenatal through 20th grade educational campus in Detroit that represents The Kresge Foundation’s single largest investment, with a $100 million commitment.
Recent recognition includes being named a Notable Black Business Leader by Crain’s Detroit Business, Small Business Hero of the Year by Connect313, a Young American Leader at Harvard Business School, Oakland County’s 40 Under Forty, DBusiness’ 30 in Their Thirties, Crain’s Detroit Business’ 40 Under Forty, and receiving the Great Expectations Award from the Detroit NAACP Branch.
